Michelle’s Story (Age 69)

In June 2025, I weighed 235 pounds.

I had always been active—bike riding, kayaking, walking, hiking, camping—but at 69, I was barely getting through the day.

I found Kim’s Live Healthy for Former Athletes program. Even though I wasn’t a professional athlete, I spoke with Kim, and she welcomed me in as a client.

Over the past 11 months, she has been more than a coach—she’s been a mentor, encourager, teacher, and friend.

Today, I’m 85 pounds lighter, with about 5–10 pounds to go.

What made this work was how simple it was.

Kim gave me:

  • Easy, whole-food meals to follow
  • A structure of eating three times a day
  • Enough food so I wasn’t hungry between meals
  • Clear daily water goals
  • And the expectation to keep moving every day

There were good times and struggles, but I always had support—from Kim, from my husband, and from the Live Healthy community.

A couple of weeks ago, I had shoulder replacement surgery. There’s been pain and physical therapy, but even through that, the keystone habits held.

In fact, just this past week—after everything—I lost another 4.9 pounds by simply staying consistent.

This has been a joyful and successful process. I didn’t use drugs or quick fixes—just real, healthy food and simple daily habits.

Even now, my husband and I are back to walking two miles a day as I recover.

What gives me the most confidence is this:
I know how to maintain this.

The keystone habits are part of my life now.

I’ve tried many programs before, but I’ve never felt this successful or this confident in my ability to keep it off.

If you’re thinking about getting help, I would absolutely recommend working with Kim.

This has been life-changing.
